WichVision for Shopify

Control when and where products can be purchased.

Protect online availability while keeping Shopify inventory unchanged. Reserve stock for other sales needs, keep products visible without accepting online orders, and prepare launches with confidence.

Shopify inventory is never modified by the app.

Three practical controls

Support the way your business actually sells.

Different products need different paths to the customer. Choose the rule that matches the need behind each product.

01

Quantity Buffer

Keep selected units available for other channels.

Reserve a chosen number of units from online sales for in-store customers, wholesale orders, warehouse transfers, local fulfillment, or operational decisions. Shopify inventory remains unchanged, and the merchant controls the buffer.

02

Store Only

Stay visible without accepting online purchases.

Keep products discoverable while directing sales to a store, phone order, wholesale channel, or another approved path. The product stays visible and inventory is not altered.

03

Scheduled Release

Prepare a launch without premature orders.

Show products before they are ready to sell, display a customer-facing countdown, and open online purchasing at a chosen date and time in the store timezone.

Getting started

Install once. Configure the protection layers. Test as a customer.

Product Availability Control works inside Shopify Admin and protects the Online Store through storefront feedback and server-side checkout validation.

  1. 1

    Install the app

Open the app from Shopify Admin and complete the authorization flow.

  2. 2

    Enable the app embed

Open Settings → Open theme editor, enable Product Availability Control, and save the active theme.

  3. 3

    Activate checkout validation

Open Settings → Open checkout rules and activate the Product Availability Control rule.

  4. 4

    Apply one test rule

Test one product or variant first, then expand with filters for product, collection, type, tag, or SKU.

Protection by design

Clear rules for merchants. Safer decisions for customers.

Each module controls online purchase availability without changing Shopify inventory. Existing rules remain visible in the dashboard, and the checkout validation layer is the final protection.

Why can a customer still add more units in the cart?

The storefront gives immediate feedback, while cart and checkout validation provide the final protection. Confirm the app embed and checkout rule are active in Settings.

Does Quantity Buffer change Shopify inventory?

No. It reduces the quantity available for online purchase while leaving Shopify inventory available for other channels and operations.

When does Scheduled Release open a product?

At the scheduled time in the store timezone. The app releases the rule automatically and refreshes its status shortly afterward.

Can I use more than one rule on a product?

Yes, but the safest blocking rule wins. For example, Store Only continues to block purchase even when inventory is available.
